Freedom Weekend at Texas Prisons (TDC)

By: Robert Taylor

Carol Vance Freedom Weekend

While they may be incarcerated in prison by the state, inmates in Fort Bend County, TX are experiencing true freedom. In collaboration with the Texas Department of Corrections and the InnerChange Freedom Initiative, Free Indeed hosted three Freedom Weekends at local correction facilities. Souls were saved, lives were delivered, forgiveness was given and received, burdens were lifted and hope was restored. Tears were shed and tattooed arms were raised in worship to almighty God. Some men were coming home soon. Some had been there for 20 years. Some may never come home, but all found the freedom that comes in Christ alone. These weekends were part of an ongoing ministry on the prison units, conducted by InnerChange Freedom Initiative, through which inmates are being trained to be leaders of transformational ministries.

“What’s the Verdict? Not Guilty!” Crusade

By: Kyondra Johnson

flyerThis evangelistic endeavor was one on the front lawn of the ministry’s campus under an October night’s sky. There was a lit stage that served as a platform for some of the most gifted dancers, singers, rappers, poets and ministers in the city! Throughout the night, you’d hear an invitation by Elder “DJ”, the crusade’s visionary, over the loud speakers inviting the community to come and partake. There was not only soul food, but there was also free food for all who came. The harvest responded by the dozens. Passionate hearts cried out, prayers went up and souls were won unto The Kingdom. Documented, there were 38 souls in all brought to and back to Christ that weekend! Countless souls were reminded that, because of what Jesus did on the Cross, they were Not Guilty.

Women’s issues were the focus of the conference, with subjects varying from “The Fire Works” to “Waiting on God”. The Worship Encounter

By: Emesha Calloway

worship encoutner cropThe Worship Encounter 2014 can be described perfectly with one word, phenomenal! Elder Terri Calloway, the event visionary, along with Free Praise presented a program focused on bringing forth the essence of true worship. All who attended were left speechless after awe-inspiring performances by dance groups Son Kiss’d and Reborn International.  Musical selections from artists, Franklin and Evelyn Wilson, led us into a place of sweet worship. Then, we were given deeper revelation c/o powerful speakers Christene Archie, Pastor Chris Gamez, and our very own Worship Leader, Terri Calloway. Sara Jackson, Mistress of Ceremony, kept the flow jovial, captivating the audience the entire night. The presence of The Almighty was tangible and filled the atmosphere. Many lingered in the sanctuary for hours after The Worship Encounter, basking in His glory.

It is Finished Production

By: Danielle Igbani

It Is Finished

“It Is Finished, the epic drama about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, graced the Free Indeed stage in April. It was written and directed by Free Indeed’s Worship Arts Director, Liz Rachelle, under her Glorious Image Productions banner. Every aspect of the production was anointed, from the original songs written by Elder Terri Calloway to the arresting dances choreographed by Takila Chaney and Meoshia Webb. Realistic costumes and vivid makeup lent an air of historical credibility to the actors portraying Jesus and His contemporaries. The talented cast and crew invested months of preparation. Innumerable hours of memorizing lines, learning songs, and rehearsing dances culminated in three consecutive showings of the production. Come show time, crowds packed the house each night to witness this remarkable rendition of the timeless tale of our Father’s unmatched love and ultimate sacrifice.”

iMove Summer Camp

By: Evelyn Wilson

iMove

iMove Summer Camp was a great adventure for students and teachers alike. Weekly trips to the museum, pool parties, skate days and many more exciting field trips kept the campers eager and ready to attend camp each week day. One highlight of iMove Summer Camp 2014 was the camp finale, where students showcased all they’d learned in front of an audience of smiling parents and supporters. Another noteworthy high point was the school supply giveaway, which helped many families in the community. At iMove: Teachers encouraged, kids had fun, and souls were added to the Kingdom of God. What more could you ask of a Summer Camp experience?

Rivers of Living Water Presents: The Nights of the Apostle, the Prophet, and the Evangelist

By: Aisha Brooks

flyer_night of A_PThroughout the year, these nights helped seekers gain insight into these under-recognized spiritual gifts. The speaker for The Night of the Apostle was Apostle Johnny Gentry III, of Free Indeed Church. Pastor Victor Gaddie of Higher Calling was the speaker for The Night of the Prophet. For The Night of the Evangelist, Elder Darrel Johnson, Elder Jason Ledet, and Elizabeth Earnest ministered in power. These men and women of God educated us on the weight behind the offices. The truth is that the gifts can be exercised at any time but we must be aware that these powerful gifts require so much more. Disciplines such as intimacy, holiness, and humility were emphasized. The teaching inspired many to continue cultivating these gifts for The Kingdom.

Destiny Camp Meeting

By: Aisha Brooks

desinty camp 2014Destiny Camp Meeting is an annual worship event hosted by Rivers of Living Water International at Free Indeed. The experience allows us to celebrate Rash Hashanna and Yom Kippur, the Jewish New Year and Day of Atonement, respectively. There are several speakers of the two-day experience. The impartation that takes place has been described as enlightening, educational, powerful, and prophetic. Those who joined in the observance of these sacred days were able to embark upon the New Year (5775) with both a broadened scope of their destiny and a heightened sense of direction. Next stop, Destiny!
